Welcome to Herne Bay Photographic Club
Who are we?
We are a group of photographers of all different ages and abilities, who share an enthusiasm for photography. We are a really supportive and friendly club, with almost as many female as male members. Ours is a relatively small organisation and new members are actively encouraged.
What can we offer you?
As a visitor, we can offer you a warm welcome to our club, and we invite you to come and see us for two or three meetings before you decide to become a member (and it will only cost you £4.00 a visit). We meet September to May on a Tuesday, 8-10 pm. Whatever your level of experience, we have a fun, varied and interesting programme of events, including talks, tutorial sessions and critique evenings, which you are welcome to enter.
There is something for everybody, plus of course, a break half way through the evening for a tea, coffee, biscuits and a convivial chat!
The 2024/25 Season
The official 2024/25 season for Herne Bay Photographic Club runs from Tuesday the 3rd of September and until Tuesday the 27th of May. (We will also run a 2025 summer programme – details to be announced in May).
The club Gallery
We have an active Herne Bay Photographic Club gallery page on Facebook, to which members regularly contribute images. You can find it here: HBPC Members’ Gallery
Club Information & Support Group
In addition to the club gallery page, we have two other useful Facebook groups:
- The Herne Bay Photographic Club page is the place to go for general information about our activities
- The HBPC Support Group is is a closed group for active members of Herne Bay Photography Club. Here you can ask for advice on all things photography-related and you can upload images for constructive critique by fellow members.
Note: active members also receive a regular email from our club secretary detailing upcoming events.
Scavenger Hunt 2025
Our annual Scavenger Hunt competition takes place in January 2025. Full details can be found on the Competition Info page.
